Greater Hyderabad civic body goes hi-tech to supervise work progress

HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) headquarters is shortly to be equipped with a giant LED screen in an exercise to monitor day-to-day progress of ongoing works.

According to the officials, a 10x28 metre screen will be installed on the seventh floor of the GHMC headquarters.

The corporation has also decided to install 30 screens incorporated with a camera in all circle and zonal offices and three screens in the offices of the commissioner, mayor and additional commissioner. The set up will have a special mechanism at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore for conducting video conferences.
